Robert Kurzban is Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania and Founder of the Pennsylvania Laboratory for Experimental Evolutionary Psychology. His research focuses on evolutionary approaches to understanding human social behavior including processes such as those involved with cooperative decision making, punishment, morality, close relationships, and mate choice.
Professor Robert Kurzban received the inaugural Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution from the Human Behavior and Evolution Society in 2008. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Evolution and Human Behavior, the official journal of the Human Behavior and Evolution Society. Professor Robert Kurzban is author of Why Everyone (Else) Is a Hypocrite: Evolution and the Modular Mind.
