Thank goodness she lost! I can't believe there's still a debate about whether evolution should be taught as a scientific fact! Surely the more pressing issue is whether "religious studies" should be part of the curriculum. Personally, I'd replace such mythology studies with philosophy, which is open-minded and teaches students how to argue rationally. It also gives the freedom of (non-)religion, which is supposedly guaranteed by the US Constitution.
