Q &A on ABC with Christopher Hitchens

Religion, politics and more
On the Q&A panel were Christopher Hitchens - author and atheist; Waleed Aly - Muslim lawyer and academic; Father Frank Brennan - Catholic priest; Sally Warhaft - former editor of The Monthly; and Anne Henderson - biographer and commentator.

Ejder Memis asked: If thousands of people dying in earthquakes can't be called 'god's punishment', then why the rescue of a person from the rubble days later is almost always called a 'miracle'?
Why should god be credited for the good act of a human being saving the life of a fellow human being, while being spared the blame for an event that humans are not responsible for?

Christopher Hitchens on Australian Q&A panel, October 1st 2009.
