Brilliant stuff- the documentary is well worth watching! The fundamentalists are proved wrong, but Attenborough notes (in the interview) that religious moderates have attempted to incorporate evolution with their beliefs. The major problem with this is that it contradicts the Biblical story and all kinds of gray areas arise when trying to determine between "literal" and "metaphorical" interpretation. What if Jesus and his proclaimed ascension into heaven were mere metaphors? You can't have your cake and eat it!
