50% of the British public are "creationists"? Scary. I hope that means they're subscribing to the typically moderate (but no less ridiculous) idea that "there's a creative force behind it all" rather than believing the literal account of the Genesis story. Can Darwinism explain it ALL, without the need for gods or fairies? It's a no-brainer.

The Economist have other numbers - about 74% know Darwin was right Untouched by the hand of God
