I have not had the book in my hands, therefore it is a bit difficult to judge.
I am of the opinion that it would be great if people read the Bible and thought about what they read. Instead of just accepting some of the clames about the book.
That said I really would like people to read good literature like: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain 1984 by George Orwell Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett
I would also like people to learn about bioloby (evolution), geography (continental drift & plate tectonics) etc. etc.

I loved that segment on the Colbert Report. It even prompted me to write an article about it on my web page!

It would be great if people read the contradicting stories about Jesus Christ last words before he died and Jesus Resurrection.
