AFA Boycotting Home Depot Because Gays Are Caught "In The Clasp of Satan"

The American Family Association's Buddy Smith reports on his trip to a Home Depot board meeting to get the company to stop supporting gay rights.

If it weren't for gay people the DIY craze that lead to the success of big box home improvement stores would have never happened.

And, quite frankly there would be a lot of ugly houses out there.

People would still have Avacado Green appliances... because only a gay man would look at stainless steel and say "That would look fabulous on a fridge, who cares if it smudges!"

Home Depot knows who has and spends the real money in their stores; gay people decorating and redecorating their McMansions!

BTW: I am a big ole gay atheist!

I am not an atheist because I am gay... I thought I was a gay christian for years!

Then one day I began to doubt and, long-story-short, I no longer doubt. I am certain.

I found this site today when I googled Jindal + Helicopter... and the clip was of Rachel Maddow (luv her) interviewing a Baptist minister from my state about the Gov. taking the helicopter to church services around Louisiana.

Then I started looking at this site and the link to The Out Campaign and if I believed in the supernatural I would say I was guided here...Since I don’t believe, it is odd because I never thought there would be an atheist website and I wasn’t looking for one, although I dislike feeling alone on this issue.

I went on a rant this morning to my husband and some of the stuff I said was almost verbatim the name of this blog and what I have read and seen here and at The Out Campaign; except I had never heard of this blog or Richard Dawkins.

What I know for certain was not inspired by anyone else. What I thought I believed was crumbling by the time I took a good look at it. And, when I did, it blew away like dust!

I hope to find my old Blogger login and username; I think I would like to hang out here.

Part of my rant this morning to my Republican husband was about the right wing nut jobs in his party and the very scary possibility that the US could elect a member of a cult for president in 2012!

I cannot believe that we have 2 Mormons running in the GOP for president.
