Health workers are concerned that the church's influence, rather than helping check the spread of Aids, is making it difficult to combat the pandemic.

Hardly a surprise- combining absurd ideas like "infallibility" with poor, uneducated people and preaching that contraception is evil will generally have negative consequences. The only solution is to expose religion for the nonsense it is.
