What is camouflage?
What is camouflage? This animation describes how animals can use camouflage to 'hide' or 'seek' in their environment. Grandad Charlie, an elderly tortoise, is playing hide and seek with his grandson Sam. He tells Sam a story about some animals who took part in the world hide and seek contest. The seeker was Clouded Leopard and the finalists were Chameleon, Moon Moth, Flying Gecko and Stick Insect. Flying Gecko was caught first in mid-air. Chameleon was caught using his tongue to catch a fly on Snow Leopard's head. Moon Moth flew to the moon and was caught. Stick Insect hid among the twigs and won the contest.

NephilimFree Self-Pwnage

Grief Without God
When tragedy befalls spiritual people, they often find solace and comfort in their faith. They pray. They envision reunions in Heaven with lost loved ones. They remind themselves that God has a higher purpose.
But how does one deal with tragedy and grief outside of the belief in God? How do atheists cope in their own lives, and how can they offer comfort to others? A difficult subject. But an important one.

Bryan Fischer: I Mean Every Word I Say
Bryan Fischer wants to make clear that he believes every word that he says and that is bigotry is absolutely sincere.
Teach the Controversy
I believe that the human race is currently going through growing pains. The bible was written by a bygone culture, and we are having trouble letting go of it. We are experiencing a temporal culture clash. To use the bible's words...it is time for us to put away childish things. We can't allow ages-old superstition to impede our progress.
*The bible does clearly state that this ritual "cleanses leprosy". But what is "cleansing"? Let's look to Matthew 8:2-4, Mark 1:40-45, and Luke 5:12-16. In those passages, Jesus is described as "cleansing the leper". for example, in Matt 8:3, Jesus HEALS a leper and these words are used to describe it: "Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying 'I am willing; be cleansed.' Immediately his leprosy was cleansed." The wording in Leviticus also uses the word "cleansed" as it describes cleansing the leper with this bird sacrifice procedure. Occasionally, leprosy has healed without treatment. If that happened it might have given some false credibility to the bird sacrifice. In most cases, however, it surely didn't work, but they might have believed it needed to be done - as with many superstitions. If the leprosy wasn't healed, it was "God's will" (punishment).

Muslim Zakir Naik fools British questioner
Dr Zakir Naik is playing taqqiyah. Taqqiyah is an Islamic concept which permits muslims to "lie and and decieve" if it is for the cause of Islam.
Islam is spread mostly by Lies and Deception and by Jihad - using force, coersion and holy war.
Do not trust a single word a muslim tells you. Always verify the source, double check, and then get a second opinion on the matter from ex-muslims or critics of Islam who have studied the religion and its deceptive ways.
Muhammad said: "Lying is wrong, except in three things: the lie of a man to his wife to make her content with him; a lie to an enemy, for war is deception; or a lie to settle trouble between people" [Ahmad, 6.459. H]

The bible strikes 13
As even the most simple message can be misunderstood or misinterpreted, let me explain my points:
1. The bible gives clear and specific directions as to how leprosy can be cured, (Leviticus 14).
2. That advice given is provably false.
3. Therefore the bible cannot be the infallible, inerrant word of a god. Once it is shown that the bible contains provable nonsense the clock, so to speak, has struck 13. It forces any rational person to question anything and everything else in the bible.
4. The idea that the bible contains scientific foreknowledge is a joke. Those that seek to show that it does end up using tactics that are nothing short of dishonest.
5. The idea that "running water", as appears in Leviticus 15.13, foretell of germ theory is risible at best. Leviticus 15 follows on from the advice on leprosy given in Leviticus 14. To select one verse from 3 chapters (see also Lev 13) to support the argument of biblical foreknowledge and ignore the context of that one selected verse is dishonest.
Father Ray Comes Out
Father Ray is a warm, gregarious vicar who has been leading his central London parish for three years.
He has transformed his parish, building a community in central London, where many struggle with feelings of anonymity. Ray and the parishioners have had their ups and downs but have built a warm and loving church.
Video 1 of 2
Now Ray is prepared to jeopardise all his work for the truth, and share a very personal secret with them: he is gay. He's decided that in order to be a good minister he must be honest with his parish.
Video 2 of 2
But admitting homosexuality as a vicar is not straightforward. Ray knows his news is unlikely to be welcomed by an Anglican Church that projects an ambivalent view of homosexuality. And it could be challenging to some of his more conservative parishioners. He risks alienating some of the people he considers his friends.
Anna Llewellyn's First Cut film observes Ray as he deals with the fallout from his sermon and discovers whether or not his words have sown the seeds for a greater understanding and tolerance he dearly hopes for.

Herodutus on religion
For if anyone, no matter who, were given the opportunity of choosing from amoungst all the nations of the wolrd the set of beliefs which he thought best, he would inevitabley, after careful consideration of their relative merits, choose that of his own country. Everyone without exception believes his own native customs, and the religion he was brought up in, to be the best.

Should We Tolerate The Intolerant?
David Cameron has criticised "state multiculturalism" in his first speech as prime minister on radicalisation and the causes of terrorism.
At a security conference in Munich, he argued the UK needed a stronger national identity to prevent people turning to all kinds of extremism.
He also signalled a tougher stance on groups promoting Islamist extremism.
The speech angered some Muslim groups, while others queried its timing amid an English Defence League rally in the UK.
As Mr Cameron outlined his vision, he suggested there would be greater scrutiny of some Muslim groups which get public money but do little to tackle extremism.
Ministers should refuse to share platforms or engage with such groups, which should be denied access to public funds and barred from spreading their message in universities and prisons, he argued.
"Frankly, we need a lot less of the passive tolerance of recent years and much more active, muscular liberalism," the prime minister said.

Louis Theroux: The Ultra Zionists
Louis Theroux spends time with a small and very committed subculture of ultra-nationalist Jewish settlers. He discovers a group of people who consider it their religious and political obligation to populate some of the most sensitive and disputed areas of the West Bank, especially those with a spiritual significance dating back to the Bible.
Throughout his journey, Louis gets close to the people most involved with driving the extreme end of the Jewish settler movement - finding them warm, friendly, humorous, and deeply troubling.
Theroux spends time with ultra-nationalist Jewish settlers and discovers a small, but very committed subculture.
On a hilltop in the Northern West Bank, not far from the large Palestinian city of Nablus, I met 17-year-old Yair Lieberman.
A part-time labourer and student, Yair's home was a makeshift canvas-covered structure, only slightly more solid than a tent, which he shared with three other young men. The bed was a tangled mess of sheets, in the style of a conventional teenager's, and hung around the dwelling were posters - though not of pop groups, but of favourite rabbis. Outside, in the neighbouring lots, was a scattering of fifteen or so caravans and trailers - the outpost of Havat Gilad.
Like the settlements up and down the West Bank, Havat Gilad is illegal under international law. It lies miles inside the territory won by Israel in the 1967 war and the vast majority of the surrounding population is Palestinian. But Havat Gilad is also illegal under Israeli law. Electricity comes from a generator. Water is trucked in.
Yair moved up to Havat Gilad a couple of years ago. On a tour around the hilltop, I asked him why he'd decided to make his life in this ramshackle encampment, at the end of a dirt road, on an inhospitable hilltop among Arab olive groves.
"If we're not here there's a [Palestinian] city and we don't want another [Palestinian] city," he said.
What, I wondered, would be so bad about another Palestinian city?
"Because it's my land! It's the land of Israel. It's not the land of Palestinians."
Yair's beliefs are shared by a hardcore religious nationalist fringe of Jewish Israelis who have chosen to make their home up and down the West Bank and in East Jerusalem. They say that those areas belong by right to the Jewish people - a title claim based mainly on the bible.
The fact that there are nearly ten times as many Arabs as there are Jews in the West Bank, with their own dreams of a national homeland, they regard as a side-issue.
I was making a documentary about these ultra-nationalist Jewish settlers, called The Ultra-Zionists. For several weeks I'd been spending time in some of the most hardcore and uncompromising sections of the Israeli nationalist community - the Jewish enclave in Hebron, in the hilltops in the north of the West Bank, and in the crowded Arab neighbourhoods of East Jerusalem - choosing to come at a time when peace talks were ongoing and the extreme settlers were therefore more embattled.
For many years I'd been fascinated by extreme nationalists - and I'd hoped the issue of the West Bank and its settlement by extreme religious Jews would be a chance to understand this mindset at first hand.

Judgment Day - May 21, 2011?
Throughout our history, religious leaders and organizations have claimed that their holy books provide accurate prophecies about the End Of The World. The examples shown in this video are (relatively) fringe organizations, but despite their overt activism and cult-like behavior, organizations like FamilyRadio.com provide a glimpse into what the more mainstream religions adhere to and believe.
Pastors, priests, apologists, ministers, religious philosophers and leaders of every kind, from every generation, have quoted from the books of Daniel and Revelation about the End of Days. Are their claims any less ridiculous? And should they be held any less accountable?

Facebook Feuds, Faith & Facepalms
Every day, skeptics with Facebook accounts encounter status updates like, "It's a beautiful, sunny day! God is so good!" Or, "My mother has cancer, prayers please!" Or "Jesus loves you more than anything!"
Many of us who reject the notion of a god that brings pretty sunshine and rainbows, yet ignores millions of starving children, find these daily Facebook one-liners increasingly hard to stomach. We talk about the soapbox for belief that Facebook has become, and whether or not it's effective for the free-thinking community to engage.
