Oops! Cops “Accidentally" Kill Two More Black People
Police officials admit to shooting two innocent individuals accidentally. 19 year old Quintonio Legrier and 55 year old Bettie Jones were shot by police in two separate incidents.
Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian (The Point) hosts of The Young Turks discuss.
“Already rocked by protests over a string of officer-involved shootings, the Chicago Police Department is offering ‘condolences’ for two more victims: a student and a grandma.
He was a promising engineering student who grew up in foster care and was determined to make something of himself. She was a mother of five who loved church and dancing, and had just hosted her family Christmas.
In the early hours of Dec. 26, both were killed by Chicago cops responding to a 911 call over the student—a heartbreaking incident that comes weeks after the U.S. Department of Justice announced an investigation into the Chicago Police Department’s use of excessive force against minorities.
Authorities confirmed a Chicago police officer “accidentally” shot Bettie Jones, 55, as she answered the door for police, who had arrived after her neighbor Antonio LeGrier, the father of 19-year-old Quintonio LeGrier, reported a domestic disturbance.”

Cop: "Buy these, or I take your car"
New cell phone footage shows a cop giving two tickets after asking to be paid for them. "Either you buy these, or I take your car." Cenk Uygur and John Iadarola (Think Tank), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
"Philadelphia police officer Matthew Zagursky is under investigation after video went viral of him extorting a driver to buy tickets to a police fundraiser or have his car confiscated.
The 32-year-old officer, who is reportedly a nine-year veteran of the department, can be heard telling the unnamed driver, “You and your friend got any money to buy these thrill show tickets? Support your police department. Ten bucks each, man.””

Police Kill Americans At Stunning Rates, Here Are The Numbers
"U.S. police have shot and killed 385 people during the first five months of this year, a rate of more than two a day, the Washington Post reported on Saturday.
The death rate is more than twice that tallied by the federal government over the past decade, a count that officials concede is incomplete, the newspaper said.
The analysis is based on data the Post is compiling on every fatal shooting by police in 2015, as well as of every officer killed by gunfire in the line of duty.
"We are never going to reduce the number of police shootings if we don't begin to accurately track this information," said Jim Bueermann, president of the Police Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving law enforcement."

Cop Returned To Streets After Killing Unarmed Man, Kills Again
"Before Officer Stephen Rankin fatally shot 18-year-old William Chapman, when an autopsy found the first unarmed man he killed was shot 11 times, residents of this city in southern Virginia voiced their dismay on the website of a local newspaper.
“Talk to the men and women in our armed forces who face people with weapons every day,” wrote one. “You don’t use deadly force against unarmed citizens – ever.”
One commenter, however, stood out for his combative endorsement of Rankin’s actions during the April 2011 encounter with Kirill Denyakin, a 26-year-old Kazakhstani cook."
