Think You’re A Christian? Better Check With Mike Huckabee First...

“Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee this week asserted that President Barack Obama had no right to “pretend” he’s a Christian after the White House invited LGBT and climate change activists to the White House to hear Pope Francis speak.

“I’m also concerned about a guy who believes he’s a Christian and then pretends to be and says he is but then does things that makes it very difficult for people to practice their Christian faith,” Huckabee told Newsmax on Tuesday. “If a person says, ‘I’m a Christian’ but you invite the pope into your home and then you invite a whole bunch of people who are at odds with the Catholic church policy, I think there’s something very unseemly about that.””*

Mike Huckabee Wants Special Christian Rights

Mike Huckabee is a big believer in religious freedom, but how far does his commitment to that religious freedom for other religions actually go?

Ana Kasparian (The Point), and John Iadarola (Think Tank), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down.

"Huckabee began to discuss Chancellor Jeffrey Atherton, who last week dismissed a divorce complaint in an attempt to prove a dickish point about allowing gays to marry ...

Mika Brzezinski then interrupted Huckabee in an attempt to get him to answer the question. “Would you support a clerk who would not give Kim Davis a third or a fourth marriage license? You?”

Huckabee responded that he wasn’t sure he followed this very simple question. “You’re asking a question of a different nature,” he said. “There’s a difference between a marriage between a man and a woman or a marriage between two men and a marriage between two women...”

‘It’s Getting Harder to Tell the Difference Between Someone Running for President or Joining a Cult’

It’s only been 2015 for a few days but all the media can talk about is the 2016 presidential election, and that includes “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart. And while there are more interesting candidates considering running than merely another Clinton or Bush (ahem, Bernie Sanders), Stewart seems to favor Wall Street favorite Hillary Clinton. Or Sen. Dickpictweet. It’s hard to tell.

Mike Huckabee Solves School Shootings with a Magic Book

"Former Arkansas governor and possible GOP 2016 presidential candidate Mike Huckabee claimed earlier this month that Bibles and Christian chapel services in schools somehow kept guns out of classrooms.

Huckabee was speaking at an annual conference put on by televangelist Morris Cerull at Nashville’s Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, noted The Tennessean.

Huckabee recalled when Christian chapel services were conducted in his public school.

"And they would talk to us about Jesus," said Huckabee. "The Gideons would give us Bibles and nobody got arrested. Nobody got sued, and, by the way, nobody got hurt either. Because we were bringing Bibles to school, people weren’t bringing guns to school, except for the deer hunters who left them in their trucks.""

Tucker Carlson: Christians Ended Slavery & Jim Crow

"Fox News host Tucker Carlson declared that all slavery in the world had been eradicated thanks to the Christian faith.

At the National Prayer Breakfast last week, conservatives accused President Barack Obama of comparing Christianity to the Islamic terrorist group ISIS when he observed that many religions had been used to justify violence throughout history.

"So we're responsible for the Crusades a thousand years ago?" Carlson complained. "Who's 'us' anyway? And by the way, who ended slavery and Jim Crow? Christians. The Rev. Martin Luther King. Christians."

"Christianity is the reason we don't have slavery in the world today," he added. "I mean, talk about ahistorical."*

Cenk Uygur (http://www.twitter.com/cenkuygur) host of The Young Turks breaks down Tucker Carlson and Mike Huckabee's comments. Cenk discusses Christianity's role in slavery and the end of Jim Crow. Cenk reads quotes from The Bible which where used to justify slavery.

Cure For Cancer Found! In The Bible?

“Mike Huckabee is widely known as an amiable fellow. Whatever you might think of his politics, he seems like a nice guy. But Mike Huckabee is a con artist. Literally.

Like many conservative pundits, Huckabee maintains an email list that he uses to generate income. The way it works is that because of his public profile, lots of people will sign up for his list, and then he can sell those names and addresses to people who want to sell things to those people. Maybe it's a book from a conservative publisher, say, or a pitch to donate to a conservative cause. But in many cases, it's just a con. "

Self-Righteous Fox Hosts OUTRAGED When Obama Quotes The Bible

"Conservatives are incensed that President Barack Obama quoted scripture in his speech last night about immigration reform, Media Matters for America reports.

“'Scripture tells us that we shall not oppress a stranger, for we know the heart of a stranger — we were strangers once, too,' the president said Thursday night. 'My fellow Americans, we are and always will be a nation of immigrants. We were strangers once, too.'

"On Fox & Friends, Tucker Carlson accused the president of using the Biblical quotations to prove that 'God is on [his] side.' 'It’s repugnant,” Carlson said, 'for this guy specifically, the president who spent his career defending late-term abortion, among other things, lecturing us on Christian faith? That’s too much. That is too much. This is the Christian left at work, and it’s repugnant.'" *

The Young Turks hosts John Iadarola (TYT University), Dave Rubin (The Rubin Report), Jimmy Dore (The Jimmy Dore Show) and Ben Mankiewicz (What The Flick?!) break down the story.
