Richard Hurst at The Profit

Two Scientologists (including Richard Hurst who later became famous as a "Squirrel Buster") stand by at the set of the movie "The Profit," distributing smear material about the filmmakers. "The Profit" was made in 2000 and was a thinly disguised look at the rise of L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology.



In 2000, Bob Minton funded the making of this film which was a thinly disguised look at the Church of Scientology. Peter Alexander and Patricia Greenway made the film with a budget of $2.5 million dollars. Ultimately it was seen only at one theater in Clearwater, Florida until Anonymous leaked the movie to the net in 2008.

Police try and fail to kick reporter out of Scientology event

Scientology convinced the parking garage owner to get the police here to kick me off a condo buildings roof but they had no authority to do so and the actual manager of the building convinced the cop that they were wrong..



I'm in Portland trying to videotape the grand opening of the ideal or in Scientology has intimidated the shop owner from letting me shoot from his second-floor window the police were called up to search my bags.

Scientologist tries to kick Mark Bunker off a rooftop

Mark Bunker found a nearby rooftop to videotape David Miscavage's speech at the Portland Oregon and they weren't happy about it.

Mark Bunker was shooting a video of the Portland Ideal Org opening when suddenly a very mad Scientologist who called himself John Allen demanded that Mark Bunker to leave the property. John Allen had no right to tell Mark Bunker to leave the property. John Allen had enlisted a parking lot attendant to claim he had authority to kick Mark Bunker out. He didn't.
